How Vulnerable Our Dogs Can Be

As I approached the supermarket at 10.15 this morning I saw a man jerking a shopping trolley back and forth and at the same time yelling at the top of his voice. My instincts told me to give this scene a very wide berth until I saw that the object of his anger was a terrified little dog tied to a metal post. I ran over to the situation and quietly asked the man if the dog belonged to him, to which he gave a less than gracious reply but realising that the dog had no connection with this man...

Now and again I hear a story that makes me angry and sad at the same time and the experience of one of my recommended, experienced, and very respected Dog Listeners, is a case in point. She was asked to help with a comparatively young dog and happily went to the home of the family concerned. She shared her valuable information and left the happy owner and dog now on the right track. The owner wrote to us to let us know of her joy with the quality of my colleague’s professional help. This was many months ago but now the...

THANK YOU! I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that I had the pleasure of sharing AB with last weekend, on the last UK Foundation Course of 2014. Their attention to the work, the wonderful questions, the humour brought to the two days and their clear respect for the world of all dogs made it a course to remember. I held a Foundation Course in Sweden a couple of weeks ago and I just have to share with you some of my thoughts. There are so many ways to “train” your dog and there will probably always be so many dog owners are confused about what is the right thing to do so they can give their dog the best life they possibly can. It is so important to see the difference between communication and “training”; Amichien® Bonding enables people to fully understand their dogs and by understanding, communicate effectively, for the first time. Many dog owners that I meet...
Latest Swedish Foundation Course
Posted on 06/10/2014
Last Weekend, our most senior Swedish Dog Listener, Mervi Karki, once again hosted one of our Jan Fennell Amichien Bonding Foundation Courses, in Sweden, which was, as always, a great success. Mervi has held these courses before (on our behalf) and many of her students have not only gained invaluable information from attending her training sessions but have gone on to become Dog Listeners themselves, so we say thank you to Mervi for her efforts on behalf of Amichien Bonding, and we wish her continuing success with spreading the word to dog owners everywhere. We also wish her latest students the...
