Help Stop Dog Bites On Children

Filed under: Dogs Biting Common Sense
As most of us know, the vast majority of dog bites on humans could be eliminated by employing one simple rule; don’t approach a dog you don’t know! Simple isn’t it? However, one of the most vulnerable groups in our societies aren’t aware of this and as a consequence suffer the most from a lack of knowledge; our children.
To help to educate kids at an early age, before anything unfortunate happens, our Approved Dog Listener, Lisa Magna, has published a leaflet that is to be handed out at schools local to her by the teachers there. Now this is a really simple idea but doesn’t take any time, (get the teachers to do it, they’ll hardly say no) is cheap to do and could potentially reach a massive audience.
Something that requires so little effort makes it far easier to get the cooperation of those you ask to assist and something like this could reach thousands of kids in just a few weeks, so if anyone wants to use this leaflet and request their local schools do the same as Lisa’s, then please feel free to use this or, if you would like a high res copy, then just send an email to email@example.com with "Want to Pat Rover" in the title bar and we'll send you one.
Lisa has started this initiative in her home state Victoria, in Australia, but there is no reason this can’t be done everywhere!
